Higher-order thinking extends far beyond ordinary rote learning or mere regurgitation of facts. In the context of today’s 21st Century learning domains, learners must learn to evaluate information and be creative and innovative in problem solving. Learning the techniques and know how of higher-order thinking is an important, yet attainable, goal in all classrooms, at all grade levels and  for every subject. With a touch of creativity and innovation, higher-order thinking will become manageable and doable, but teachers will need to facilitate and guide the thinking process more explicitly with their students. This workshop will seek to effectively unravel the skills needed to promote and execute higher order thinking and thus enabling learners to think more creatively and become better problem solvers.
